\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGlass is a product of nature. It is made of quartz sand, calcite, soda and glass breakage (obtained from old glass packaging). Glass is a material which can be completely recycled and today it represents one of the main components of a new generation facades. Throughout history, the shape, thickness and also the way of processing glass have changed. On the one hand, it is characterized by high hardness, i.e. it withstands the action of physical forces very well and is also resistant to bending and breaking.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The glass on the object is determined by the project on the basis of aesthetic requirements and the calculated thermal balance of the building in accordance with construction regulations and the requirements of the investor. The aesthetic criterion is determined by colour, while other requirements are achieved by meeting mechanical criteria such as glass size, thickness, method of attachment.\nEnhanced thermal protection is achieved by the use of IZO glass, which technically improves the properties of action on the transfer and radiation of heat flow.\nFilling the interspaces between the panes with gas or a mixture of gases is a widely used procedure for improving the thermal and acoustic properties of IZO glass. Argon gas is primarily used to reduce heat transfer. SF6 gas (sulphur-hexafluoride) was applied to improve the sound insulation until the end of 2004. After that, in order to improve thermal and sound insulation, the application of krypton gas was started. This significantly raised the price of glass, and the problem is also related to the limited amount of krypton gas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Parameters which define glass:<\/h5>

U - coefficient of teat transfer<\/em><\/p>

Parameter which defines the transfer of thermal energy from a warmer to a colder space through a certain barrier. It shows the amount of heat transferred through the glass from a warmer into a colder space expressed in Watts for every square meter of glass surface and for every K of temperature difference between two spaces.<\/p>

g - the degree of transmission of the total energy of solar radiation<\/em><\/p>

The parameter shows the sum of solar energy that passed through the glass directly and that which passed through the glass indirectly, ie by radiating the absorbed energy from the glass itself into the space behind the glass.<\/p>

Tv - Light transmission (LT)<\/em><\/p>

The parameter shows the amount of light that passes through the glass in percentages. It shows what percentage of light of 448 W \/ m2 passes through a particular glass.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
